This week I had a slam dunk referral. A friend of mind emailed my info to a friend of hers. The client contacted me a month ago and said he was flying in from Japan on the 18th and wants to look at new construction. After getting his search criteria and contact info I sent him a few homes from the MLS and explained that when he arrives I will take him on a new construction Home Tour.
He arrived like he promised and we looked at 5 developments in 3days. He picked one and put his earnest money down. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A SLAM DUNK REFERRAL!. No drama, quick and painless. Now the hard part will be trying to coordinate picking colors and upgrades, light fixtures, etc... while hes back in JAPAN...........
Now I need to figure out an impressive referral thank you for the friend who sent me the lead. She is in a position where she comes in contact with people moving to my area daily. How would you thank her?

Now granted it was 11am and I had my kid so I probably looked like a stay at home mom, but some guy walks up to me and starts giving me a spill about coming to work for CitiGroup. Now if he is trying to recruit me in a department store, while I look a mess and have a fussy toddler, he is stretching for employees to interview. This is a first- face to face telemarketing. I walked down another isle and hes still following me jabbering when I finally grabbed the diapers to the right of him, and said no thank you I have a job!
