Help needed from expert Treo users.

Help! I'm trying to figure out if a Treo I have a 700p can be used as a internet modem for a laptop by blue tooth. Does anyone know ? If you have figured it out let me know of any links or websites out there that may help me out. I'm sick of searching for a free Wifi or unsecured internet connection to link to. I'd appreciate any help. Deandrea Jones Wainwright Real Estate djoneshomes@gmail.com

Dee Dee, I think you can. Do a search on Treo here on Active Rain if you don't get any satisfactory comments.

Yes, it can be used as a modem for your laptop, but you will need a separate data plan, so check with your service provider about that.

If your laptop is Bluetooth-enabled, then you can connect to the Treo via Bluetooth, otherwise, you'll have to use the USB cable. By the way, when you use the USB cable, you are also charging your Treo, which is kinda nice.
